The new Poster Gallery by painter Janet Kruskamp
 

Janet Kruskamp presents Action, one of her vintage movie poster collection. The bright yellow and green background of this poster make the clapper board jump right out at you. This poster is the final step in the movie production sequence LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION. The director yells ACTION, someone marks the beginning of the scene with a clack of the marker being snapped together. The sharp sound helps synchronize the sound to the film, matching the split second of the film when the clapper closes with the sharp sound on the soundtrack. The chalk board part of the bottom of the clapper lists production, director, camera, and on top of them near the bottom of the poster is the weathered word ACTION. Three golden stars complete this wonderful addition to your home theater.
