In the middle of the composition there is a glass ball filled with water sitting on a decorative sea green stand. The globe holds a fantastical underwater beach, with a red anenome on a thin stalk filling in for a palm trees. Scattered turquoise shell beads, a few smaller shells, and an open half shell with a large red pearl make up the foreground of the painting.
